Or ponder things of the past.
Behold, I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:18-19)
You mean it's NOT a 'mirage 'Lord? --That river...that peace like a river...that my parched spirit lunged for last Sunday, when our Pastor brought Your message to my hungry heart?
Your Words from Phillipians 4 have hovered over me all week...bringing more and more
"clarity" to my "chaos".
As I consciously "rejoiced" ...focusing on taking my joy in only You:
I grew less and less "anxious" over things I could not control. (Though they seemed to be multiplying like rabbits!)
A gentler spirit began to well up from within me,
My attitude became one of gratitude and
I found myself more able to fix my thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.
As I began to "think on these things" so worthy of praise...that "peaceful river" became the "still waters" you led me by and Your Living Presence...became more and more intimately real to me.
Thank You Lord Jesus that I never walk alone! I can hardly wait to fellowship once again with the Family of God...not just Sunday morning, but every chance I get!
